Car Seat 2

Car Seat [Part 2]

Chapter 16

Melissa soaked in a hot bath and applied the ointment afterward.  She slept on her side that night to minimize any residual pain.  By morning the pain was gone. But, the message was not.  Melissa was going to follow the rules.  She donned her childish panties.  She then put on a cotton bra which she seldom wore.  She did not want to get in trouble for wearing the wrong kind of bra.  Then she added the cotton camisole instead of her silky camisole.  She then checked her uniform and confirmed everything was correct.  She had on no makeup and she had her jewelry in her book bag.
Melissa looked younger than her daughter as they approached the school bus.  Parents who had been watching the slow transformation did not know what to think.
Susan Adams was grabbing a coffee and stopped by to chat with the school nurse.  The nurse asked, “Who got the paddle yesterday?”
Susan smiled and said, “The new girl in fourth grade, Melissa.”
The nurse screwed up her face.  “Isn’t that Melissa Martin Mary's mom.  I thought she was just riding the bus.  Why would you be paddling an adult?’
The school board decided that she has to follow the rules and the state said she had to be assigned to a homeroom.  I assigned her to the fourth grade homeroom since those were the kids she was sitting with on the bus.  But now she has to follow the rules which includes following the dress code. “
“Some of the other girls asked why she was wearing jewelry and makeup.  We had already had issue with her wearing the wrong shoes and blouse.  I told her the last time that if she couldn’t follow the rules, she would pay the price.  Yesterday she agreed she deserved to be punished.”
“The funny thing was that when I went to paddle her I found out she was wearing Victoria Secret silky panties.  That was of course another violation.  So the paddling went on a little longer than originally planned.”
The nurse thought a moment.  “Wow, so she has to follow all the same rules as the other kids?”
Susan nodded. “I think we have it all covered now.
The nurse thought and asked, “Do you want her to follow the rules or are you looking to break her because of her previous tirades?”
Susan got a quizzical look on her face. “Why do you ask?”
The nurse asked, “Did you check her bra?”

Car Seat

Prolog

Melissa Martin was a successful real estate agent in town.  She worked at one of the bigger offices and was often in the running for top sales person each month.
Melissa was the envy of all the young agents coming into the company.  Melissa started as every agent did answering the phones and doing the grunt work.  She worked long hours.  Melissa put in that extra effort that many people were unwilling to deliver.  She rose to the top of the sales ranks in just a few years.  She fielded cold calls, she sought out new listing opportunities and she closed sales.  She sold property other people could not move.
Melissa had style and she dressed the part.  Melissa wore expensive, stylish suits.  Her blouses were the envy of every woman in the office.  She always wore heels of 3 inches or more.  Her make-up was perfect and she wore her hair in a longer style which emphasized that she was a professional but still young.
Melissa kept her personal and professional lives separate.
Melissa was still young
Melissa had her daughter, Mary, while still in high school.  She had given herself to a boyfriend believing that was how she would hold onto him.  When she turned up pregnant, the boyfriend and any others she had known evaporated.  The first few years were hard and her mother helped them a lot.
Melissa never dressed casually in public because she claimed she had to protect her professional image.  The real reason was she looked young enough in casual clothes that people were more likely to think she was Mary’s sister than her mother.  No one but Mary ever saw Melissa in casual clothes.
Melissa could be a task master.  She raised her daughter to be self-sufficient.  She was protective of Mary.  She wanted her to take responsibility for things that were her fault.  But if someone tried to hurt or take advantage of Mary, they would find Melissa ready to confront them to protect her daughter.
If Melissa had a flaw it was that she was willing to do almost anything to close a deal.  Nothing unsavory, mind you.  She got sellers to take a little less and over-estimate the conditions of homes.  She got buyers to ignore potential issues which might cause large surprise expenses in the first year or two of ownership.  She believed that once the deal was done, she was no longer responsible.
Melissa always said, “If you read the rules, you will always know what you are getting yourself into.”  Melissa would point out to people that most of their problems could be attributed to their not reading disclosures or rules ahead of time.  Complaining about them later was tough for them.  If you don’t read the rules, you will pay the price.

Chapter 21

After lunch, Miss Jefferson told Jennifer to go to the principal’s office.  Jennifer started to gather her things.  Miss Jefferson told her to leave her things and head to the office.  Jennifer tried to explain that she would not be coming back.  Miss Jefferson cut her off and sent her on her way with a hall pass.
In the office, Mrs. Barham explained that she was going to take Jennifer over to the administration offices in a minute.  Jennifer had to sit on a wooden bench while waiting for Mrs. Barham to finish up.
Finally, Mrs. Barham got up and led Jennifer over to the administration building.  She left Jennifer there on another bench and headed back to the grade school.
After sitting on another uncomfortable bench for a while, Jennifer was called into an office by Sara Adams.
********************
Moments before:
Sara Adams and Mary Martin sipped their coffee and watched Amanda Barham walking the little girl across from the grade school to the administration offices.
Sara looked at Mary and smiled.  “She looks like any other grade school student.  In fact, if I didn’t know better, I would have thought she was in a lower grade than seventh.  She just doesn’t have the look.”
Mary looked at her with pleading eyes and sarcastically asked, “Won’t you please educate my wayward daughter in-law in your wonderful catholic school?  I don’t care if we have to start all over again.”  Mary was snickering a little at the end.

The Principal or Principles

Students challenge Principal to adhere to the dress code.
What could possibly go wrong?
1.    Background
The members of the school board thanked Elizabeth Warren for her wonderful presentation and for sharing her views on the future for the Princess Ann Ladies Academy.  Elizabeth (Beth to her friends) was one of two finalists for the open position of Principal at Princess Ann.  This was the final interview and the board planned to make their decision tomorrow.
Elizabeth highlighted her doctoral work and her quick rise to Principal at her present school.  While she had only been in her position for a little over 2 years, the standardized test scores had improved dramatically.  Teacher and student satisfaction were rated excellent across the board.

It was near the end of sophomore year in high school.  Terry sat down at the lunch table next to Marcy.  Soon, Lily and Susan joined them.  They chatted about classes and the latest gossip.  The boys from their class were envious.  They all wanted to spend time with Marcy, Lily and Susan.  Terry did not look that out of place at the table.  But, there seemed to be some disagreement lately.
You see, Terry was a boy.  He had longer hair and unlike most of the boys, he took good care of his hair.  His mom required him to take good care of his hair or she would get his hair cut.  Terry was one of the brighter students in the class and he had been friends with the girls since they were in first or second grade.  They all lived within a block of each other and they had been playmates throughout the years.
As school became more difficult, Terry was clearly one of the smarter kids in the class.  He and the girls started studying together.  The girls knew that Terry was helping their grades and they were all old friends.  And, as many girls pushed the boys away Marcy, Lilly and Susan discussed Terry.  They decided that Terry was their friend and they saw no reason to push him away.

Accident At School

Accident at School
By Daring Diane
At 24, Michelle was taking on all kinds of new challenges.  She had just returned from her honeymoon and elopement with Fallon O’Leary.  Michelle and Fallon had dated for a short period of time and decided they were meant for each other.  Fallon was a lot older than Michelle at 45.  He had been divorced for over seven years.  Michelle had been looking for a husband and Fallon was exactly what she had been looking for.  He was successful, trusting and he was not some kid that was going to run around on her.  But he could surely take care of her in the way in which she wanted to become accustomed.
Fallon traveled extensively for his job as a business consultant.  In fact, after getting back from the honeymoon yesterday afternoon, he had taken off this morning on a flight at 5 AM.
This morning, Michelle was alone in the master bedroom of the O’Leary home.
****************
The first time Michelle met Mrs. Perkins, Fallon’s housekeeper, it was clear that she disapproved.  After running into Michelle in the living room, Mrs. Perkins introduced herself.  She asked if Michelle was one of Mary‘s friends.  Mary was Fallon’s 17 year old daughter.
In a huff, she stated, “Of course not, I am Fallon’s fiancĂ©.”  Michelle’s indignant response reminded Mrs. Perkins of a child trying to convince everyone they were more important than they actually were.
Michelle tried to assert herself and provide Mrs. Perkins direction on the one or two times they interacted.  Mrs. Perkins ignored her and pointed out that she worked for Mr. O’Leary and she knew what her job responsibilities were.  On one occasion, Mrs. Perkins declared, “When you grow up, your advice on how things should run may have value in our house.”
